The  AT-216 Personal FM System offers the ultimate performance and versatility for Assistive Listening, Language Interpretation, Tour Guide Presentations, Personal Cuing, and for other Personal Remote Transmission situations. The system functions as a remote microphone for the user, overcoming the greatestM-216 FM transmitter listening  problems for those with impaired hearing, i.e. high levels of background noise, reverberation effects, and distance between the speaker and listener. The AT-216 system not only works on the standard channels (1-40) in the 216 MHz band maintaining compatibility with other brands, but only the AT-216 works with the high dynamic range companded channels (41-60) for high fidelity sound reproduction rendering greater speech intelligibility.

The M-216 FM Transmitter incorporates the latest digital and analog technologies to produce low residual noise, wide dynamic range, and extended frequency response rendering the most natural sound possible from a wireless microphone. In addition, the M-216M-216 mute switch option transmitter has the most versatile auxiliary audio input. Transmitting audio programs from tape, CD players, TV, VCR's, or from any audio device which has an auxiliary or line level audio output jack is now easier than ever. What's more, when using the auxiliary audio input, the microphone may also be used to mix voice with the program information for special effects. The M-216's multi-function capability also allows it to be used with compatible telephones and specialty microphones. The M-216 transmitter is available with a separate voice muting switch (Option 1) allowing the auxiliary input program to remain on.

The PR-216 Personal FM Receiver picks up the voice of the person wearing the M-216 FM transmitter. The receiver may be used with a variety of headphones and earbuds. However, for the hearing impaired person wearing hearing aids with a "T" switch (telecoil pick-up), the neckloop is the most preferred solution. The neck-loop retransmits the signal to the hearing aid in "T" mode (inductive pick-up) for close-up sound. Now the person with impaired hearing has a direct link to the speaker at greater distances for improved listening,PR216 Enviro/Smart Mic Option clarity, and better understanding. The PR-216 receiver is available with built-in environmental microphone (Option 2) enhances speech discrimination when both environmental sounds and the speaker's voice from the transmitter must be heard together. The Smart-Mic (Option 3) for the PR-216 receiver optimizes the performance of the AT-216 wireless auditory assistance system in a classroom environment. When the teacher begins to speakM-216 FM transmitter through the M-216 transmitter, the PR-216 receiver's Smart-Mic automatically prioritizes the teacher's voice over environmental sounds. Then when the teacher is not speaking, the Smart-Mic immediately activates the environmental microphone on the PR-216 receiver to allow fellow students' comments and questions to be heard. The PR-216 receiver has convenient channel-selectability to satisfy the most demanding multi-channel requirements even in crowded R.F. environments. The use of high efficiency, low power consumption microcircuits ensures high performance and reliability.

The TM-10 Conference Table Microphone Adapter is an accessory item which adds even more functionalityConference table microphone adaptor to the AT-216. Using this device converts the SM-183 lapel microphone included with the system into a table top or "boundary-type" microphone.

NTC-102 neckloop NTC-102 Neck Loop
For users with T-coil hearing aid(s) or IR230 induction receiver, this induction neck loop can be used with all ALD receivers employing a 3.5 mm monaural output jack. It may also be used with personal audio devices such as Walkman style tape/CD players, iPods, etc. However, in order to captures both left and right channels, a KO-A stereo-to-mono adaptor is required (add $6).
