All about the FM 457- 458 Large area FM Systems
The PPA T45 Transmitter is an FM Wide-Band transmitter operating in the 72-76MHz bandwidth. Compatible Williams Sound receivers
include PPA R37, PPA R38, PPA R37-8 body packs and the PPA R1600 remote speaker.
Developed for hearing assistance in places of public access, the PPA T45 is designed for those who need help overcoming
background noise, reverberation, or distance from the sound source. It includes a complete audio processor optimized for the
needs of hearing impaired persons and is easily integrated with your existing sound system. The PPA T45 can also be used with a
microphone as a stand-alone system. The PPA T45 transmitter operates just like an FM radio station. The transmitter takes audio directly from a microphone or sound
system. This audio is then broadcast over an FM radio signal. FM receivers can be worn by listeners, or the PPA R1600 AC powered amplified
speaker with built in receiver can be utilized as needed. The broadcast can be received up to 1000 ft from the transmitter depending on environmental conditions.
This allows listeners to sit anywhere in the area and listen to the broadcast at the level they need without disturbing others around them.
Two models are available - PPA T45 basic and PPA T45 NET D advanced.
The cutting-edge PPA T45 NET D models take hearing assistance to a whole new level with network control capability from any remote location, Dante™ audio input, multiple digital and analog audio input options, and an OLED high-res screen with easy-to-manage menu navigation. Features 3 powerful microprocessors and the same high-quality audio and RF performance you have come to expect from Williams Sound. It’s technology that takes the guesswork out of complex audio installation. Simply select among voice, music, or hearing assistance in the application preset menu, and this transmitter quickly configures itself. The PPA T45 shares all the same features as the PPA T45NET but does not have the network control capability. With a range of up to 1000 feet, the PPA T45 is ideal for large venues where superior coverage is essential.
The PPA R37 SelectTM Channel FM Receiver features a Seek/Scan function channel selector with access to 17 pre-set wideband frequencies between 72-76 MHz. The stylish, impact-resistant receiver offers crystal clear audio and is compatible
with any Williams Sound Personal PA wideband transmitter. The system is expandable, accommodating any number of listeners. Receivers include a detachable belt-clip for hands-free operation. A standard 3.5 mm stereo phone jack accommodates low-impedance mono earphones,
headphones and neckloops (the ADA
accessibility requirements for
hearing assistance, requires one neckloop per four receivers or a minimum of two).
The PPA R37 receiver is equipped with a integrated volume on/off
switch and a green LED power on indicator. The green power on LED will
illuminate red indicating low battery power. The PPA R37 receiver operates
on two AA alkaline batteries for 50 hours of long-lasting operation. A
battery selector switch inside the battery compartment also permits use of
NiMH rechargeable batteries. Operating time with NiMH rechargeable batteries is approximately
32 hours.
The PPA R37-8 Eight-Channel Receiver on right is flexible and simple to use. It features a user friendly rotary channel selector switch with access to 8 pre-set wideband frequencies between 72-76 MHz. The PPA R37-8 is digitally synthesized for great audio clarity and stability. It is compatible with the following Williams Sound transmitters: PPA T45, PPA T46, and PPA T27.
A versatile 3.5mm stereo/mono jack allows for a variety of earphones, headphones and/or hearing aid compatible neckloops to be connected.
The PPA R38 Multi-Channel FM receiver share the same ergonomically design features as the select-channel receiver. A on-screen channel selector with easy access to 17 pre-set, wideband frequencies (72-76 MHz) easily lets the user select the appropriate channel, audio description, language translations and/or in combination with a hearing assistance application. Other features include digital tuning, digital squelch and battery-saving sleep mode. A new stereo jack paired with the mono jack adds compatibility with a variety of earphones/headphones. The battery life for the PPA R38 is approximately 50 hours with alkaline batteries and 32 hours with BAT-026-2 1500 mAh rechargeable NiMH batteries.
