Description
The Digi-Wave system is designed for a multitude of one or two-way communication applications. A system consists of at least one transceiver (DLT 400, DLT 400-AIM, DLT 400-ACM belt-packs , or DW T410 hand-held transmitter/receiver) and various combinations of transceivers and receivers (DLR 400 RCH or DLR 400 ALK). Combinations of one or more DLT’s and DLR’s can be used to facilitate different events, depending on what needs to be spoken and what needs to be heard. The Digi-Wave communication systems allow users to listen and talk to one another wirelessly in a variety of scenarios such as:
Language Interpretation - one or more interpreted languages transmitted to audience (1-way). Interpretation mode is best suited when dealing with multiple, simultaneous audio feeds. In normal interpretation mode, an interpreter may be translating a speech given in Spanish into English, a group of interpreters may be translating a speech in English into several languages. Up to 14 languages and the floor may be broadcast on the Digi-Wave system at one time.
Guided Tours - with one or more tour guides (2-way), with audience participation (2-way), or without audience participation (1-way). Tour mode is best suited when one or two people are leading a large group. The tour group mode can be configured to only listen to the leader(s) of the group, such as on a museum tour. Alternatively, this mode allows people with a transceiver to speak, which may be useful for tours through noisy areas where hearing may be difficult, such as factory tours.
Hearing Assistance - featuring boosted audio for improved comprehension. Hearing Assistance mode is appropriate when using the device to amplify spoken communication between users. The Tone Control in Hearing Assistance mode is automatically elevated, allowing the user to hear more clearly. Users with transceivers can be allowed to speak, which may be useful in a classroom setting.
Intercom - with up to six people able to speak simultaneously, and even more listening. Intercom mode is appropriate when a group of up to 6 people all need to talk to and hear one another. It may be used behind the stage to manage a large theater production, or for a security team at a club.

This system supports an interpreted presentation for two languages with one presenter, one bilingual interpreter, one transceiver with a plug-mount mic for audience questions, and nine receivers for the audience to hear the interpreted presentation. Augment with additional DLR 400 RCH receivers for more audience members or with additional DLT 400-AIM transceivers for bilingual meetings or two-way tours.
